Play special messasges, then pass to non-hsp answering machine

My wife hates the HS voicemail system, but loves the ability to play special greetings. I currently have our answering machine connected to the hi-phone and only use the wireless handsets that are connected to it.

I'm trying to find a way to:

    1. have IVR code go through the process of answering the call and playing special messages.
    2. after the special message process, somehow pass control to the answering machine so that messages can be left.

My first thought was to use #START_RING at the end of my IVR thinking that would trigger the answering machine to answer after the present number of rings, then use :END vs :HANGUP, the phone will stop ringing, signaling what I think is the answering machine picking up, but control of the call never seems to be 'passed' to the answering machine.

If anyone has any ideas or has done something similar, I'd love to hear your thoughts...

    Thanks!
Working...
