video and iPhone client - Fixed!

I've read through the help file and see how to setup video from my cameras to HS Touch. this works great on Windows clients, but even though video appears in the designer for the iPhone screens, when they are deployed to the iPhone, there is no video.

    Am I missing something?

Search for iphone, hstouch and video returns about a hundred pages.

    Thanks!

On the video element, do you have the property "IsVideo" set to True?

Maybe you can post the details on how you have it configured.

Not sure how to do this.

          Image 026

          everything else blank

See anything out of the norm?

The screen appears on the designer, but not on the iPhone. Ah, perhaps the existing path is only for Chrome/IE. Not iPhone/Apple/Safari. I'll do some digging around on this part.

Can you open that URL from Safari on your IPhone? I believe you may need to use a text box with that address and set the "is HTML" property to yes.

Haaaaaaaa I bet I know what the problem is -

The designer and other HS Touch clients are on my LAN. My iPhone is coming in over the internet. Drrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I don't really want to NAT (PAT) a port to my cameras, though.

I fixed this. Added NAT and it still didn't work. Wound up deleting the element and created a new Text element, putting the URL in the Text property and setting HTML to True at the bottom.

This is different from the Image one that was used.

I use all local ip addressing for my cameras, HSTouch server seems to grab the images and forward them to my phone. For all my cameras, I use an image, pointing to the LOCAL intranet IP address, set for video with various refresh rates.

I did not have to setup and NAT for the video. My phone works well being on the internet or connected to wifi (I always have it just connect to the DNS name).

Tasker, to a person who does Homeautomation...is like walking up to a Crack Treatment facility with a truck full of 3lb bags of crack. Then for each person that walks in and out smack them in the face with an open bag.
