    Setting Resolution on Windows Client

I'm trying to deploy a project to a Surface Pro which runs at 1920x1080 resolution. When I create a project with those dimensions it looks fine on my development desktop system, but after deployment to the client only about 1/4 of the screen is visible -- the right side and bottom of the screen are cropped.

Is there a way to fix this?

By default, Surface Pro devices have Windows screen scaling enabled (set to a value higher than 100%). This is because of the high resolution relative to the screen size. It makes the desktop and desktop programs a more usable size. However, some software that doesn't fully comply with Windows UI standards don't handle the scaling properly.

You can find the scaling setting under Control Panel > Display.

To solve your problem, you can either disable scaling on the device (that will make other desktop programs appear smaller) or you can target a smaller resolution. I think 720p aligns with the default Surface Pro relative screen size with default scaling.

Ah, beautiful -- that took care of the problem!

      Thanks very much.
