I emailed support@insteon.com Saturday morning and got a response from them telling me to "send an email to support@insteon.com". That makes no sense but I emailed them again anyway. I haven't yet seen any change in my Hub and I'm still unable to connect the plug-in to my Hub. This is getting to be tiresome!

FWIW, my Hub ID is: 49:E2:19

        Mark,

Thank you. Mine now appears to be working. Hopefully it will stay this way for a couple of days.

This might be a minor issue, but I monitor my network devices using UltraMon and since I cut off my HUB's access to the Internet after the downgrade, I get occasional alerts of a missed ping or two every once in a while.

Ultramon monitors a device by pinging it and before this 1016 fiasco, my HUB was rock solid in connectivity.

Now (and I did cut off all Internet access to the box via a FW ACL), I get an occasional missed ping and some 10-11ms response times even though its all on the same network.

Probably because the CPU gets busy when it tries to phone home. No issues with on/off functions that I can tell, all is working.

But does anyone know how often the HUB will try to phone home?

If its like every few seconds and the CPU is running high because of my overly ambitious security for fear of another accidental upgrade, I need to weigh the consequences of me cutting it off.

Just wondering if anyone else has seen this.

            Thanks to you Mark,

Everything works now, after a hub factory reset!

            Thanks again,

            Alain

Hi Mark, I tried to take care of this matter on my own but they are ignoring me.

If you have a moment, could you please submit: 3C.98.B7
I really don't know what else to do since they wont respond to me.

              Thank you sir.

                      All,

SH is sending me a 'staging' hub that will receive beta updates so i can test updates before they go live. I will only be testing to make sure the plugin can connect to the hub and control plugin registered devices. I will not be testing the Insteon app or related functionality; they have plenty of testers for that.

I'm up and running now. Good news on the staging Hub.

                            HUB

Hello Mark, I have the same problem my HUB is 3C.9A.65. I have other customers with a HUB do they stop the update to avoid this problem again?

I have submitted these two my smarthome POC

I am verifying with SH that they are building a blacklist of insteon hub IDs to avoid when pushing out hub updates
