    Logging problem?

I'm trying to debug a problem with one keypadlinc. I think that it is somehow turning itself off sometimes immediately after an event turns it on. I think this because it also sometimes does this when I turn it on at the keypad. It's in eight button mode, but I am really using it as a seven button. Buttons A and B are together as the main on/off button. I have all the sync options off.

Anyway, I use the on level at ramp rate action mostly to control this switch. I notice that nothing at all about that ever logs, even with the log level set to debug. Is this the way it is supposed to be? The device is set to log.

Okay, but I don't think there are any errors.
Note that level/ramp rate action never generates any log entries with any devices, but does always (with the possible exception above) seem to work and the device status in HS updates correctly.

in debug mode it may not. enable detailed to see the insteon messages being generated. i could add a debug level message, but i don't think it will help here

did you review the links? and then maybe reset and reprogram if you don't see anything odd

Yes, I did review the links. There was an extra one of button B HomeSeer control. Deleting that one didn't change anything. I also deleted some cross links between A and B that I had added manually. I still have this occasional problem. I do plan to factory reset and reprogram it. I have five other keypadlincs set up the same way that aren't having this problem. I have avoided detailed logging since it can be days before it happens again.

if this is sporadic, then leave logging at normal, and when you notice the issue, just hit the generate button and a detailed logged will be written regardless of your setting.
