Insteon no longer able to communicate with Hub

Hi, I've been running HS3 with the plug-in for a few years. I recently bought a new one as the older unit failed. I was able to get it up and running pretty quickly. Shortly after, I recently migrated HS to a new Host, and have been unable to get it to connect ever since. I get the message ** Unable to communicate with the Insteon powerline interface *** and the plug-in itself is giving me the "check the interface..." message. I am able to connect to the HUBs port via a browser, even from the new Host. The log doesn't seem to be telling me much, as just seeing...

anything I'm missing or ideas? I did backup and restore HS to migrate the configuration, so unsure if that might have done something?

    thanks!

The IP of your Insteon interface changed....

they are set to DHCP and theres' no way to set a fixed IP, the only way to make it not change is to go in the router and make the device a fixed IP

mike2016 thanks Mike, the IP of the hub is the same. I have a MaC reservation for it in DHCP server. IP is 192.168.1.35. I can connect to the same IP : Port from a browser.

mnsandler Yes, and triple checked by copy and pasting the text from what I used to login directly to the hub.

          From the browser: Firmware:1018 Build Aug 16 2019 15:58:42

that looks fine. can you do a factory reset on the hub and try again

if that works, just use the update interface database on config page to reprogram the hub

mnsandler Hi Mark, didn't work. Any other thoughts? Again, everything was working just fine until I moved HS3 to a new host and restored the config. I could reinstall everything I guess, but kinda a pain.

It's running on a Server 2019 VM vs running on a Server 2012R2 host. i verified it wasn't a server FW issue.

do you think it could be firewall issue? is the new VM offsite?

mnsandler No, it's all on a local subnet and I disabled the server FW. Also, went in and made rules. As I mentioned earlier, I can connect to the HUB from a browser on that same VM.

Looks like the Hub was updated on Aug 16. Perhaps something with that? I went ahead and stood up a whole new instance of HS3 w/ the plug-in and same issue.

is 'user' really the correct value? all of my hubs have a username of 'admin'.

no, it's another account. I just typed in 'User' to ofuscate my real account name a bit. However, the 'real account' is the same as what I log directly into the Hub from a browser with. I've check that multiple times overs.
