PLM Unresponsive

So a couple months ago (seems like ages) I thought my PLM died, it was about 2.5 years old and I know some have had short life spans so i didn't think much of it. I patently waited until black Friday because I know they always run sales. Today the new serial PLM came in but I'm still having issues. Upon a restart of the Insteon Plugin, the PLM communicates and there are no errors, but as soon as i got to issue a command i get the "Transmit Failed...after 2 tries".

After doing some reading here today, i realized i was running 3.0.7.2 that i must have installed when Mark had that up instead of 3.0.7.1. i tried downgrading, no luck, i am now running the beta and still not having any luck. Of course my backup before I did the update to 3.0.7.2 is corrupt so now i'm out of luck.

Let me know what everyone's thoughts are.

try the following:
1. Manually factory reset the new plm, and restart the plugin and verify the plugin can recognize the plm.
2. run the swap interface routine from the config page (this is required). it will reprogram all the devices with the new plm insteon id.

if you are still getting a lot if NAKs there may be noise on the powerline/RF causing this

if you are still having troubles, I need more info about your setup: is the plm plugged directly into a wall outlet? what else is on that circuit? have you tried another serial cable?
