Dimming response X10 open/close device

I have screens controlled by X10 open/close modules. Open close works fine but when I try to use dimming to get a screen partially closed I get a strange response: the screen makes small steps (see attachement 1). If I dim above a certain value the screen closes completely after a few steps (see atachement 2).

Maybe you could use cmd: 0x17 and after a certain wait time 0x18?

i don't really support specific x10 devices with the plugin, just the protocol in general.

you might consider the insteon micro controller

I will use the insteon variant in the future but was wandering whether there was a quick fix. Insteon device are hard to get in Europe right now.
I'll try using command strings.
