    Open/Close sensor not registering in HS

    I've just moved from HS2 to HS4 and in so doing decided to reset everything and start fresh.

    I am not able to register my open/close sensor in the HS3 plugin. It worked in HS2. It also registers without any issue with the Insteon Hub/App.

    I've searched the forums and found a similar issue here and tried all of the same suggestions without success including resetting the sensor to factory default. I even had a fresh unopened/unused sensor and was not able to register it in HS. It registered with the Hub/App without issue.

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks

        i was able to register the following open/close sensor in HS4.1.10.0 using the hs3 insteon plugin beta version 3.0.7.36

        my open/close sensor type and fw version.

        DeviceType=1002
        FirmwareVer=89

        I would need a detailed hs log of your attempt to see what's going on. enable detailed logging in the plugin and then try to register the device again.

            first, i dont see 2E.29.04 responding as expected. its sending an ON message, not a device id message. please make sure the device is in linking mode before starting the registration process (press and hold the set btn until it starts/continues to flash)

            second, device 1C.E1.2E is also broadcasting a OFF msg during the registration process. can you disable this device and retry the registration

            please post another hs log similar to the last one.

              Thanks so much. That worked.

              In reading through the log I see a lot of 1C.E1.2E and I think that may be causing issues. Would you know what I need to look into to correct that as it does not appear to be normal.

              Ex.

                you may just need to reset and program the device 1C.E1.2E. reset it manually, and then use the 'reprogram device' function on the device page within the plugin. do not delete the device from the plugin

                I would need to know what type of device 1C.E1.2E is to debug further
