    What do I need?

    I'm thinking of getting on the Insteon bandwagon. What is needed, besides the plugin to get an Insteon system working?

    Dave,

    An INSTEON PC interface like the 2414U and possibly the wireless lighting starter kit since it includes 2 Signalinc RF's that you will need (wireless phase coupler). Then you can start adding whatever additional devices you need.

      A prayer, a payoff to Smarthome to get the SDM bugs worked out, and a plug-in that works. (No offense... Just a joke.)

      Actually, you just need to be aware that computer control isn't quite here yet. The problems are being addressed. In the meantime, you might consider running the INSTEON devices in X10 mode.
