MorningLinc Model 2458A1

I have just added a Morning Industry RF controlled DeadBolt as well as a MorningLink Insteon Model 2458A1 Module. When I try to add the device withing the Insteon screen, it goes out and detects it, but does not add it to Homeseer.

Any ideas?

What version of plugin are you running? Check the release notes sticky in this thread to see at what point morninglinc support was added

the morninglinc must be tap-added. i can not be manually added

Mark is correct,
I just added 2 MorningLinc's and had to tap link them.
I am using ISY99 to Homeseer. I think the same is true with the PLM.

Yes, mine had to be tap added as well. It's probably a security feature.

Ken,

I just added mine today...here is what I did which is the standard tap-add procedure

1. click the 'tap-add' button from the config page
2. plugin in the morninglinc where it will be deployed permanently
3. press the morninglinc set btn for three secs
4. the plugin screen should change telling you its reading the settings of the morninglinc.
5. click the 'finish tap-add' btn on the screen to terminate tap-add mode

this works for hs2 and hs3
