INSTEON Thermostat - what are my options?

Hi Mark
i just got a wireless insteon thermostat.
i am not planning to hook it up to any heating or cooling systems but i would like to set events and get it to start a fan or raise the shades or close the AC (using global cache).

how can i set an event if my options are on/off/set value?

and on the same note, can i link it to devices?
it has a program option or modes - can i link it to start the fan at 25% if i press the fan button?

my plugin doesn't support stats directly. the thermostats required one of the other insteon stat plugins.

the alternative would be to write your own script to control the device as you see fit.
