(Note this is a duplicate of a message I posted in the HS3 Forum)
Is there a way for HS3 to check if a plug-in is "OK" and if not, deactivate it and then reactivate it?
I was doing some electrical work over the weekend which caused the equivalent of a powerfailure (my HS3 is on a UPS and keeps running but not the Insteon 2410S control module).
After powering back up I noticed the Insteon Plug-In (Mark Sandler's) was in "Fatal Error" mode as it had lost serial communications with the 2410S module. I found that simply "deactivating" and "reactivating" the plug-in restored the communications and all was fine.
Seems to me this could be automated and would avoid having to do a full system restart using the UPS plug-in. Wonder also if there are other Plug-Ins that could be restarted.
Any thoughts?
