Seems that HS can't communicate with the hub, but I don't know why.
When I go to http://192.168.1.233:25105 in my browser, I get a responce from the hub:
    INSTEON Hub Details
    Alert 2.6 YF
    PLM:9C
    Firmware:4.8A Build Feb 08 2013.....
Also the Insteon app on my phone is working ok.
Switch off the firewall does not make any change.

Any clue why HS can't communicate with my hub?

I changed my password in the setup to see if I get an error from the hub when starting HS again and it gave the error.
Changed back my password to the right one, restarted HS and now Insteon is working again!
Just don't know why it stopped working.

This morning communication was stopped again.
Changing the password gave the password error, but changing it to ok again did not solve the problem.
So at the moment I can't communicate to the hub with HS.

can you remove the password by logging in directly to the hub and then remove the pswd in the plugin and see how it goes?

I have changed the password with the Android insteon app to something else and also changed it in HS, but the result is the same. No connection. Do you mean with remove that I can also delete the password and only use the login name?

i think if you remove the pswd, you don't need a username or pswd at all

try a similar url on your hub

I can't save an empty password with the Android app. Is there an other way to do this?

try just saving * as username. use a web browser, not the app

                    try the following

                    http://192.168.1.80:25105/a.htm

use your own local IP and port

or try http://192.168.1.80:25105/network.htm which should have a link to the authentication page

12/29/2014 19:54:50 ~!~Insteon~!~The Interface could not be restarted. The plugin is being shutdown. Please restart HS.

I have removed the username and password now and the plugin is working.

I still have some X10 modules in the house and most of them I don't use anymore. But they are still connected to the mains. (micromodules behind a switch)
In the past I have had a X10 module that was not functioning ok anymore and started to send rubbish X10 signals to the mains.
What will happen with the HUB when something like that happens?
When it can't connect to the Insteon modules because all of the bad traffic?
Can that be an explanation of the IP communication loss?
But I still can't explain that communication with the app is still working then.

I have an X10 tester somewhere. Trying to find it to see if mains communication is clear or not.
                      Keep you updated.
                      Peter

Not sure i have any answers right now. noise on the line/RF is a killer; it will bog down the inbound buffer of the hub.

kill some of your circuits that have the noisy x10 devices and see if things improve

let us know what you find
