Use Events or Group to contorl multiple devices?

Do you guys use Events or Group in Insteon plug-in to control multiple devices?

I created an event in HS3 to turn on multiple Insteon devices when a button is pressed.

for example, I have a 6 button keypad at the main entry door, i want to use the "A" button to turn ON all the lights at downstairs, there are 4 devices.

but only 2 of the 4 responded every time.

I can't figure out why it's doing this. the other 2 that didn't respond are LOAD switches, default on level set to 100%, and "sync linked devices" checked.

also because it's a 6 button, how do you program it so both ON and OFF buttons can control the same group of devices?

    Mike,
use an insteon group (in the plugin) to control multiple devices with a single press from the controller device which you can define as part of the group

then the controllers on/off btns will control the devices in the group
