Hi Mark,

My system has been very stable for several months. Last night, it suddenly started to throw these messages in my Log file:

Now I look at my setup and it says that it cannot communicate with the powerline interface. I tried reinstalling the latest version of the CDM interface and restarting the system but nothing changed. Interface port is still set as COM3.

Did my PLM suddenly die or has my PC blown a motherboard? Any thoughts?

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the link. Sounds like I have some detective work to do. Strange that it was working yesterday morning but then suddenly crapped out. It also happened at a time when nobody was home so nothing should have changed that broke the connections.

I will try to get things moving and let you know how I make out.

Pretty sure that the problem is that my PLM is toast. The light on the side is dark. I tried to change the plug as well as press the reset button when I plug it in.

pretty sure I need to order new unit. do you agree?

try a factory reset on the PLM (see the manual). if that doesn't help then yes the unit is toast.
