New KeypadLinc green set button LED question

    Hello,

My new KeypadLinc dimmer has a green LED behind the set button. After pressing a button, this green LED flashes once. What does that indicate? Successful communication? Can this be disabled? I haven't been able to find anything about it in the manual or elsewhere.

    Thank you!

what is the fw on this KPL? the flash might be either a transmit or a receive indicator.

      The plugin reports:

      Device Type: Dual-Band KeypadLinc Dimmer
      Firmware Version: 43

      It's a 2334-2xx

I just discovered it's an acknowledgment indicator.

      http://cache.insteon.com/pdf/2334-2xx.pdf
      Page 15

Blinks green once: One or more scene members acknowledge the button press.

Blinks red once: One or more scene members did not acknowledge the button press (note: scene members may still have heard the scene command and adjusted their settings)

It's not terrible, but it'd be nice if it could be disabled. The manual seems to indicate there is an 'Error Blink' flag that you could maybe program via your plugin, but I don't see anything regarding a 'Success Blink'.

          Mike,
i found the cmds for enabling/disabling this feature. look for this in the next version i post.

the thing is, this feature is supposed to be disabled by default

how did yours get enabled without software?

            - Just adding another data point -
I also added a keypad with version 43 just last week. It too has the green LED turned on (fortunately, it hasn't blinked red yet). I certainly didn't do anything to turn it on. It's not a big issue to me, but I'd rather it was off too. (I'm on HS2 at plug-in version 2.0.0.15.)

Ok, glad it's not just me. Either updated firmware changed default behavior or a batch of them were shipped with it on by accident?
