Mutually Exclusive Scenes

So, I have two scenes which involve outdoor lighting. One is called "Night" - it's just a subset of the outdoor lights that come on every night at sunset. The other is called "All Outdoor" - which, as the name implies, is all the outdoor lights.

I have these set up on a keypad with radio buttons - so when you turn on outdoor, the button for night turns off, and vice versa.

However, in homeseer, if Night is already on, and I send an on command for All Outdoor, Night stays on, and vice-versa.

It would be nice if I could set up an event to change the status of a scene without actually sending any commands.

try the following action:

Execute the command: &hs.setdevicevaluebyname "Mudroom Morninglinc", 100

parameters:
setdevicevaluebyname {device name}, {device value to set}

And this will only set the value in homeseer, but NOT actually send any insteon commands?

Yes, this is why i do this in my event. using the script does not call the plugin at all
