    glad you're making progress.

consider updating the plugin to the latest beta which is avail in the Beta section of the Updater (see HS Plugin manage page)

if the device registered but you only get a lot Retries during the process, then there is noise either on the powerline or RF interference causing problems

sometimes doing a factory reset on the device helps (see the device manual for the procedure)

Well I have a similar story to the other Jon. Must be a Jon thing.

I am trying to integrate an Insteon hub for the sole purpose of adding some motion sensors to my system. I bought a hub and a motion sensor. The motion sensor shows up fine in the iOS app and provides me with it's code (31.82.07) and shows motion in that app. The motion sensor is only about 20 feet from the hub so I don't think that is an issue.

I installed the plugin and configured it for the hub's IP address fine. It appears to be talking and liked my username/password...

But no device shows up and when I manually add the device, it doesn't get a response (log below). Any idea what to try?

are you putting the MS into linking mode when trying to register it with the plugin?

try a factor reset on the MS (see the manual for procedure)

Thanks Mark. I'm at work right now. I can reach everything remotely (via a VNC to my hometroller) but won't be able to physically try to mess with stuff until I get home tonight. I'll let you know if resetting helps.

If there aren't any other outstanding issues with this beta, I plan to move it to Release and put it in the Updater very soon.

                  Hello Mark,

I have a few KPL's in my system and I just replaced one with a newer KPL #2334-222 with hv7.7/fv45.

After installed the new KPL I noticed that I don't have all the toggle buttons "non-toggle OFF/ON" for this one device? The "ON" option is missing from the pull down yet I have the default "Toggle" and "non-toggle off".

Also, I don't see the HS column at all like I do with the older KPL's 2486D v5.9/fv 40?

v3.0.5.88 beta was already installed before I installed the new KPL and I didn't use the "program replacement" option, rather I had deleted the older KPL week back not knowing if I was going to buy into another KPL or not!

                  Thank you,
                  R. Warren

can you post a screen shot of the kpl config page from the plugin. the newer KPLs have a different feature set. I think everything is working as expected

I figured there might be a change with this version; however I do use the non-toggles so that I have monitor only on some of the wall buttons. If possible it would good to have them, but not a deal breaker at this time.

                      Thank you for your time.

Not that you need this, but the following is a capture of an older KPL 2486D and as you can see they are used in the same way in my simple setup, but here I have the option of both non-toggle on and off and the HS group is also available.

                        Hope this helps.

Yah, SH removed the non-toggle Off and the HS Control features from the firmware. the change occurred in fw 41+

                          just a thought...

you might be able to simulate a non-toggle Off by linking the responder devices with an Off (0) value to kpl btn. the result would be when you press the btn, it would go On, but the responders would go Off. And when you pressed the kpl btn again, it would go Off, and the responders would stay Off.

Yes, I thought about that. It was nice that the older KPL's would blink and not end up changing anything if the button was pushed while the responder was already in the desired position based on user config and wouldn't turn off the devices by accident...
Anyway, nothing we can do, I will play around with the other option that you mentioned.

                            Thank you again,
