    Strange error message

    Mark:

    2 questions.

    1.) My Smarthome Hub 2242 was not communicating well (Blue light on front would start blinking constantly and then be dark) so I talked to Smarthome and they suggested to do a factory reset on my router. That seemed to help, but when I restarted Homeseer 3 I get an error in the startup log. It will however connect to insteon.

    What is this message? (see below)

    2.) Also, when I took the hub to my office to see if I was receiving the same communication issue with the hub, The blue light stayed on constantly unless there was some insteon communication. It worked totally fine.

    Any suggestions on how to keep the blue light from disappearing so often?

    Here is the error message:

    not sure what that error is. the plugin is having trouble getting the device profile of one of your registered devices. Do they all look okay on the device mgmt page

    the plugin polls the hub every sec for incoming msgs. this blue light might be responding to these requests. not sure

      Looking at my Insteon.ini file, I noticed the Password as this:

      HubPassword=HSENC2hRcDtsjO8yUF0Tz9iFnmJw==

      And I know the password is not that.

      Should I change that in the Insteon.ini?

      FYI the Hub is working fine right now.

      Thanks,
      Steve

        the password is encrypted before its stored in the ini file. what you see is the encrypted value. Do not change it. If its not working, you may update it via the plugin UI
