(Bridgescan):Invalid URI: The hostname could not be parsed.

I'm using Jowihue with a raspbee bridge and a hue bridge on Linux.
    Very pleased with it.
However, since yesterday the following error appears in the log every 5 minutes:
(Bridgescan):Invalid URI: The hostname could not be parsed.
    Jowihue is fully functional.

I'm not aware of any changes I made to my configuration the last days.

I suddenly started having the same problem yesterday running on Windows 10 with a hue bridge. Jowihue seems to be fully functional. No configuration changes were made before this started happening in the middle of the night.

I am seeing the same here. It is coming from the meethue site where the plugin does a extra upnp call to be sure it has all the bridges.
I guess some changes have been made on the site behind to http://www.meethue.com/api/nupnp

Also here....... same issue. However I am dead in the water

            Here is where it started:

I did as well. Updated the plugin because of the URI-error, lots of errors in the log. Then restarted the plugin once more and all was well.

                    All,

The uri error seems to come from Philips for some reason, don't know yet what is happening. I have altered the plugin so it will not go to the philips site if the internal UPNP call is working normally. Only if it is not working, it will go to the meethue site for an alternate test. But then the plugin might still report this issue. For most this will not happen any more. This should stop the every 5 minute log error on the URI.

I have not been able to copy the issue of restarting the plugin. This should only happen if internal memory of the plugin is damaged. It was there already for some time during beta of version 2, so I am surprised seeing it is happening here. Could not copy the issue, so I have removed the restart and maybe you will see some error in the log using this version. Be sure to let me know what error it is?

The new version is avalable in the manage plugins area

                      Still issues ?

I get the following output from debug, I'm unable to find the bridge at all (Android app found it without any problem) This is on a Win 64 bit server. The log shows first entry with access to the Internet, the second Internet access is blocked. Then I don't get the URI message. This with the 2.0.1.2 version.

                          Wim,

Here the same. Updated the plugin to 2012 and also restarted HS3.
Updated in Homeseer, not with replacing the file.
The frequent is also the same , every 5 minutes.
In this post i read something about Upnp ; (System is Discoverable Using UPNP), do we have to disable this in Homeseer?

The error will stay when the internal UPNP call does not work, I am still hoping that I discover what the Philips site changed to make the plugins call error. But I have no clue yet.

So if your internal UPNP call works (is router set correctly to enable UPNP, is the windows firwall allowing the plugin to do calls etc.) the call to the meethue site is skipped, otherwise it will do the call and the error stays.

It does not cripple the plugin in its function normally.

                              Wim,

On my HS3 windows 10 OS, Upnp was not activated, never used it??
So i enabled it by turning on the network discovery.
The error is now gone, for now the 5min interval messages are gone.
