Problem with IKEA remotes and error in log

Hi,

I'm new to deconz and JowiHue, but have gotten everything up and running.
Had some problems with updating the firmware of Deconz, but after solving that I did a complete re-install of everything.
Including JowiHue( manually deleted the files mentioned in a post here earlier).

After getting everything back up and running, I have been able to get all my test devices in HS3. 1 Bulb and 2 remotes, but after there,it has just gone downhill.

At first when I included my first remote, 1 device was created and when I pressed the buttons the corresponding value showed. But after a while, a second device have been created(battery). After this happened, the value/state shown on the root device is just: "No Status (Root)". And nothing is happening when I press the buttons.
BUT, the Last Change time changes, so something is registered.


I also have a error in the log that shows at regular interval (30 seconds).
Restarting the Plugin does not help.

Anyone have any suggestions for me?

With which version of the plugin did you start? Did you start the prodcution version (2.0.3.3) or did you jump straight on the beta version (2.0.4.4)?

If repairing deCONZ there should be no reason at all to remove the plugin. I am thinking that the plugin is confused with devices that were not supposed to be there in the new start - I guess you did not remove the old HS JowiHue devices?

Try these steps:

1. Stop the plugin
2. Delete all HS devices for JowiHue
3 Restart the plugin, letting it recreate all devices. Then - after letting it run for 20 minutes, restart the plugin again.

I had 2.0.3.3 installed, but since there was some errors, I deleted everything to start from scratch with 2.0.4.4.

I bought the plugin for a few months ago and did some testing at that time.
I may have added some devices and changed Floor and Room during this testing. With all the devices I have, I'm not sure how to find any device that has been created with Jowihue at that time..

I did the steps you suggested, but stil get "Error: (UpdateLights)::Object reference not set to an instance of an object." every 30 seconds.
Is there a way to check if I have some old Jowihue devices?

But it also seams that 1 of the remotes are fixed. Now have 3 child devices where one is reporting the button pushed.

If you do not know which lights you have been testing, the only way is to check the detailed trace. The initial start of the plugin will tell you every referernce number of devices in use. Also on the Bridge Maintenance page it will show you the lights, but I doubt if light devices are shown that have no match on the gateway anymore.

I can check the log for you - follow these steps to get a correct trace:

1. On the Configuration page of the plugin enable detailed trace and log to file
2. Stop and restart the plugin - let it run for 20 minutes
3. Go to the Bridge Maintenance page and op the lights part on the bridge
4. On the configuration page, disable the detailed trace and the log to file options
5. Send the \Logs\JowiHue.log to me (jowihue at ziggo dot nl)
