I recently ordered one of these LPG gas sensors from Amazon and finally got around to joining it to deCONZ tonight. (This appears to be a private label version of the Heiman Gas Leak Detector.)
deCONZ recognized it right away as a gas sensor and JowiHue imported it to Homeseer without issue. Because it is mains powered it also acts as a repeater, and it's a strong repeater. In just a few hours nearly 3 dozen devices have found it and added it to their routing tables.
One downside is the sensor will cover 2 outlets due to the way it is made. I don't know why most engineers fail to take footprint orientation into consideration when designing an outlet device. Somewhere someone has a 6 year degree hanging on the wall (with the proper fastener) that made that possible.
If you are looking for a Natural Gas or Propane (LPG) leak detector and you don't mind giving up 2 outlets, then this will do the job at a reasonable price.
