    Guy,

Thanks for your help on the Firefox issue. It seems it is not directly caused by the plugin, but maybe a HS4 issue to update their library material to latest versions. I will have to sit this one out then

If you do try to add a thermostat again, start scanning for devices, start inclusion process on the thermostat and once you can see the thermostat appearing in deCONZ (or if it is still there ) and select the far right dot on de device in deCONZ. this will open a list of clusters available (like you did on the motion sensor earlier)
    Select the basic cluster.
Then select the cluster tab on the details window and press the read button here. You should see the modelid and manufacturer appear in the clustertab. This often helps deCONZ to speed up the inclusion process.

For the updates, I am following on the github what the developments are: https://github.com/dresden-elektroni...nz-rest-plugin
I am not getting mail from them. At this point they are still collecting all the changes to compile.

    Thanks,

    Wim

Just checked the page. To be honest, I don't see anything there that would indicate a new stable release is ready. What's the cue?

A bit of gymnastic, considering the thermostat are not in the same room as the computer. Not like using Z-Wave tool with the tablet or phone which I can bring close to the device. I also noticed the thermostat appearing in deCONZ but not being fully recognized yet (which happens when Phoscon fails). But until then, not all clusters are present.

That said, that was the last thermostat to add, at least for the foreseeable future. So at this point, I'm waiting for the Dresden update. I can't wait to see if all the device features will work. At the price paid for those thermostats, that's the expectation.

On another note, I have a Sinope gateway compatible with their NeviWeb app to sell, if anyone is interested.

        Guy,

The new stable is now avalable. Check on https://www.phoscon.de/en/conbee2/install for the installation process. there is no difference for raspbee or conbee in tis process.
I am not sure if you have a Linux or a Windows install. What I am doing here is either using vnc on my tablet, or remote desktop on a laptop. It does the trick for me to be near a device when I need to reset it in the place where it is used

          Wim,

          Thanks for the notice.

I updated earlier today. After I did, I scanned from the plugin, no changes were visible in HS. Tried reading all thermostats clusters and re-scanned at the same time, several times. Still no changes at that point. I just rechecked and now I see new stuff, mostly positive but inconsistent. I'll do an analysis sometime this weekend and report details.

For the record, I'm running deCONZ on a RaspBee2, not a ConBee. The RaspBee is on a Raspberry Pi running Raspbian OS, a port of Debian Linux for a Pi. I use VNC, SSH and SFTP to access the Pi.

I had some issues doing the update too. I ended up updating the full distro before I could finally update deCONZ.

          G.

Wim, sorry for the delay, a bit busy these days around.

Here is a screenshot of the 3 thermostats as they now appear in HS4:

Each thermostat yields 2 devices, the thermostat itself and a status device. Red numbers identify each thermostats in the order they were added in the system.
            1. Thermostat 1: this is the original thermostat submitted to deCONZ as not working properly. Thermostat 3 was the same before it failed and got replaced by Sinope.
            2. Thermostat 2: a newer thermostat ordered and installed after initial Thermostat 1 and 3 were successfully (but awkwardly) added to HS4.
            3. Thermostat 3: replacement for original which was same release as Thermostat 1. Release of this new thermostat should be the same as thermostat 2.
As you can see, there are differences between all of them. Most visible with orange numbered 1 to 4.
            1. Status kWh (visible on T2) is missing on T1 and T3.
            2. Missing devices on T3.
            3. This device on T1 and T2 should change status from "resting" to "heating" whenever the thermostat is either off or on. Device always stuck on "resting". Also not showing on T3.
            4. kWh device missing from T1.
Furthermore, I find odd that T3, which should be same release as T2, doesn't have all devices.

            Also, these devices (Mode)

used to have a control but no longer do:

So these are the thermostats differences with the newer deCONZ release.

I do have a couple of other questions unrelated to the thermostats but will post another message for those.

                Guy,

I have missed this post completely somehow! The screenshots are missing from your post, so it is a bit of a guessing game on what the differences are.

                I find 4, not 3 thermostats in your configuration? Named "TH1300ZB (3)", "Thermostat 7", "TH1300ZB" and "TH1300ZB (2)"

All have a power component and a temperature component, but the "TH1300ZB" and "Thermostat 7" are missing the power cunsumption (kwh) part.
As those are not present, you could try and check deCONZ clusters for this part, are they not present there or does a read on the clusters solve anything?

If they are not present and are not added when a rescan (without removing the deCONZ and HS devices!) is done, I think the devs at github need that information to see if there is some difference between the thermostats that need to be resolved.

As for the issue of "resting" not being updated, I think it might be a reporting issue in deCONZ. But to make this sure, could you send me a "verbose" log where you trigger the thermostat to heat and switch off again? I should be able to see if the REST API is sending the update or misses it. If it is missed, we need to notify the devs at github on this.

Odd. Anyway, following your response, I did an analysis of the deCONZ and REST API. Results below.

All have a power component and a temperature component, but the "TH1300ZB" and "Thermostat 7" are missing the power cunsumption (kwh) part.
As those are not present, you could try and check deCONZ clusters for this part, are they not present there or does a read on the clusters solve anything?
There are only 3 thermostats. But their features naming is misleading. A pet peave point to me if you ask. When renaming a device in HS, not all corresponding deCONZ features get renamed. This introduce confusion.

First of, here is the list of devices in deCONZ:

Note the MAC column. I'll reference that in the REST API results below. Also, in the Phoscon app, all device names correspond to the above except for the Plancher Nord thermostat, which is correct in Phoscon but wrong in deCONZ nodes list.

Here is a breakdown of the REST API for the 3 thermostats. Note the name difference in the 4th column for all 3 thermostats. Also a missing feature, ZHAconsuption, for the 1st one. This 1st thermostat does have power usage reporting feature, I had it in the previous Sinope controller. The common part to identify which device it actually is is the "uniqueid" which corresponds to the MAC above. Also note the balance part of the uniqueid that corresponds to the device feature. That is systematic, I noticed that with the Philips Hue sensor as well.

The renaming issue with "type": "ZHAThermostat" (4th column) must come from the plugin as there is no way to rename anything from deCONZ or Phoscon. The only renaming that took place was in HS which eventually got somewhat reflected on the deCONZ side.

Agreed this will be needed. I'll try the rescan and will see.

But to make this sure, could you send me a "verbose" log where you trigger the thermostat to heat and switch off again? I should be able to see if the REST API is sending the update or misses it. If it is missed, we need to notify the devs at github on this.
I also think the issue is with deCONZ. I'll give it a try tomorrow as it's getting late now.

Unrelated to the thermostats, I had a weird issue with a new Hue motion sensor. I'll relate that later on another thread.

The main difference between the two last (new) ones and the original one is the firmware, could that be the reason the power consumption attribute is missing here?

Naming through the plugin is not really effective yet indeed. I am trying, but it is complex and I am still trying to twist my head how to best bring this to deCONZ so that it is not confusing the views in Phoscon/deCONZ.
Should I rename features with the same name or not, while presenting them in HS with their extensions (like (Motion) etc.... I am thrown back and forth on this. But I will coe back with solution for that later.

There is a firmware difference indeed. Yet, with the 2 original thermostats that had the same older firmware, I had power monitoring available on the Sinope GT-130 smart hub.

Here is the electrical measurement cluster from deCONZ for that older firmware:

The same cluster is available on the newer firmware. But there is an additional cluster named "Simple Metering" which has these controls:

That is a significant difference from the earlier firmware. That's on deCONZ backyard though.

Also, another thing I noticed but forgot to mention. On the thermostats display, the time was displayed on the 3 thermostats. Not last weekend but the one before, local time switched to DST. Since then, the remaining thermostat with the older firmware no longer displays the time. And the 2 newer still display the time but do not reflect the DST change and are 1 hour behind. With the now retired Sinope GT-130 smart hub, the 2 original thermostats with the old firmware were properly updated with the proper time.

The clusters on both firmware are practically identical. The sole difference being the floor limit status is grayed out on the older firmware. This clearly shows that "current time on display" is "rw". Hence my conclusion a clock time adjust control should be available. More than likely, this is a REST API/deCONZ issue not reporting this.

One thing I noticed while adding a bunch of Phillips motion detector is that I could rename the device in Phoscon. Then, after adding those new motion sensors, I went and read all clusters that could be. Prior to that, I disabled your plugin in HS4. After the devices were added in Phoscon and clusters read in deCONZ, I restarted you plugin and it saw the new devices with the name I gave them in Phoscon. I found that while playing with 7 new Phillips motion sensors. These not being in production yet, I have not tried to rename them in HS4.
Notwithstanding the above, in my book, a rename in HS4 should be reflected for all sub-devices in deCONZ. It seems this happen for most devices so far except for the ZHAThermostat feature device... e.g. your plugin does (except for the one mentioned) rename the devices in deCONZ/Phoscon, Not sure how the plugin handles that part but sometimes it seems it misses one of the sub type device.

zguy and wim. I have installed the Conbee 2, deConz and the JuwiHue plugin. Both are now at the latest deConz and firmware levels. JuwiHue has been configured to see the gateway. I added 2 zigbee devices thru the JuwiHue PI and they create the devices in HS. So far so good. I attempted to add the TH1300ZB floor thermostat and I am in the below status. So I am not sure what you did to get beyond this. deConz does not recognize this as thermostat nn. In reading the thread, I am not sure what you did to get deConz to recognize the device as thermostat nn, The PI never sees this device. I initiated the scan from the PI. Any help would be appreciated. I realize that this really a deConz issue, but it seems you were able to overcome this. I am using the windows version of deConz and I do recall that it was mentioned that the firmware is always a bit behind the linux version....

OK nevermind, I was able to get deCONZ to recognize the thermostat as device by 1. in phoscon "add sensor" and then 2. in deConz forcing a read of one of the clusters. The devices have now been generated in HS thru the PI. I see several devices and will now continue looking at what you did afterward to make the device cleaner. In the meantime I am off to purchase the JuwiHue license . I look forward to now getting other zigbee devices !!

                          Bob,

Great to hear the devices are added. Out of curiosity, it seems that also for you the power consumption values are not added, like zguy is also mentioning. I think one of you should bring this issue to the github as this seems to differ from Guy's first thermostat. I am wondering if this might be the sw version still or a missed attribute on deCONZ.

Could you post a copy of the JSON for the device here, so we could check on the version? You can find the JSON when you go to the properties of the thermostat, JowiHue tab. In the bottom of the page you will find the json strin as send by the bridge.

                          Thanks,

                          Wim

I would also add that if you just installed the ConbeeII that you should ensure the firmware is up to date. Sometimes the firmware needs to be updated in order to properly support some devices. Depending on where you bought it from, devices can sit in inventory for a while.

So my TH1300ZB has the same version as 2 of Guy's "746". see attached from the deCONZ nodelist.

TC1 I have flashed the latest firmware. The JSON data is below. I am attaching shots of the two devices that were generated from the one TH1300ZB unit. I have tried different combinations in reading the clusters adding and removing the device, and the two devices are consistent in what gets built in HS. So for me the key is really being able to tell the floor temp, the room temp and being able to adjust the setpoint. The setpoint is working !! (it is the second in the list, and it is the floor temp setpoint). Interestingly any value I try to change it to below 45 degrees it changes to 45 degrees, so there must be a setting that limits this. So I just need to figure out which is the floor temp and which is room temp and then test some triggers. I am not touching the names for now. I will gladly test out anything you might want to look at on the other settings, this is really the only floor thermostat that isn't wifi, so I expect it is somewhat popular. I have two more units to install will let you know how that goes. I also have two of the Older TH1300RF models with the GT125 gateway, I am attaching a shot of the device as it appears in HS form Spud's PI, as a point of reference. I will go back and look at the settings in deCONZ to see if I can match up the required options, in particular the setpoint mode and control mode are important but they are not values I think you would ever change. Thanks again!

Back when I initially got the TH1300ZB I used a SmartThings gateway. Later on I contacted Spud to ask him if he would support the GT130. At that time, the GT130 was announced but not yet available. He did agree to that but that's where it stayed. What I learned though is that its plugin talks to the Sinope gateway APIs. The latter is, unfortunately, internet dependent, which is not my cup of tea. Both the GT125 and GT130 are also internet dependent. Then I found the RaspBee, that supposedly supported the TH1300ZB. Not. I had to get thru the folks at Dresden with a bug ticket. They did release a new deCONZ firmware, which is why you were able to get them up into HS. Yet, there are a number of issues left. And one of them is their handling of adding devices in Phoscon. At best, this is a hit and miss affair in my experience.

We have some substantial differences in the HS devices available. In fact, none of the 3 thermostats I have are identical in HS. Only 1 of them is close to what you are showing. I must say once I had the setpoint available, being in the middle of winter, I stopped playing with them. Guess I'm due to re-add them seeing what you get. I'm running deCONZ 2.09.03. Is that what you are running? How did you get them in? I have been using the Phoscon app with the add sensors option, it seemed the only one that would manage to get the device in deCONZ even though it reported failing adding a device..

                                Things deCONZ need:
                                • deCONZ doesn't have controls to set the heating mode to ambient or floor. That can be changed in one of the clusters though.
                                • another issue I got recently at DST hour change. Prior to the change, my 3 thermostats were showing the proper time. Since the change, the thermostat on the older firmware lost the time display and the 2 with newer firmware, same as you have, still show the time but didn't adjust to the DST change. From what I've been told by Sinope, the GT130 handles the DST change. So there is a way to adjust the time display of the thermostat but the thermostat itself will not switch when appropriate. That means we need a control in deCONZ to be able to set the time. Plus adding logic in HS to handle the switch, but that is another story.
                                • another thing we need added to deCONZ is a way to update the thermostat firmware.
                                • the device where the status is "Resting" all the time should be reporting the thermostat status resting/heating. Mine are stuck on "Resting". What about yours?
                                • The thermostat supports connecting an outdoor temperature sensor to it. I'm not planning to use one, but should someone do, this should also be available in deCONZ and HS.

About the minimum 45 degrees, there is indeed a limit built in the firmware. In Celsius the range is 5 to 36 degrees. That should yield 41 to 97 in Fahrenheit but may be the firmware has different values for the 2 scales.

I recently contacted Sinope tech support regarding the time display and firmware update. At this point, their "official" response is that this is handled by the GT130 automatically. I'm trying to escalate this but I'm not getting as much traction as I would like so far.

I'm curious, did you ever connect your thermostat to a GT130 or not? And if you didn't, does it display the time, accurately or not?
