  • Unable to find HUE bridge

    Hi Wim,

For some reason the JowiHue does not find my Hue bridge.
What tips and tricks can I do to fix this as I 'm running out of options?
Already restarted plugin several times, reinstalled the plugin ...
The Hue bridge is recognized in my Internal network and also I am able to use my bulbs via the iPhone hue app.

    Bart

    Bako,

you had the plugin already running earlier right? Did you loose the configuration? or did you change to the new bridge hardware (square one)?

That is correct, did run the plugin for a while, but got somehow I lost the configuration. I am not sure what caused this, could something to do with the 1.0.6.4. version I had troubled with installing. I have no new bridge (yet).

        Bart,

Maybe you started with the plugin before it was using the UPNP method of finding the bridge.
Could you check on the machine where the plugin is running if the plugin is allowed to pass the frewall?
Easiest test is disabling the firewall and restart the plugin. If the plugin finds the bridge, then please enable the plugin to pass the firewall by adding the plugins executable to the firewall settings?

Let me know if this helps you?

Yes, my HS server firewall blocked the HSPI_JowiHue.exe, after testing without the firewall on, I've added the HSPI_JowiHue.exe to the firewall as allowed connection. The Hue Bridge was found immediately. Thank you, everything up and running!
