  • JSON Payload not populating new devices? For sure im doing something wrong.

    I have a JSON payload in a topic, however it doesnt seem to create new devices. What could I be doing wrong?

    the payload looks like this:

    qos : 0, retain : false, cmd : publish, dup : false, topic : 124T11/sensornode1, messageId : , length : 123
    {"state":"OFF","brightness":255,"humidity":"74.50","motio n": "standby","ldr":"82","temperature":"28.00"}

    Current mcsMQTT setup
    1: The payload appears in the statistics page as a recieved payload
    2: The subscribed topic has a dev no
    3: General Tab: JSON Decoding: Decode payload JSON into individual HS Devices

    What I need is individual devices for each of the JSON keys

    Im sure its possible. I just dont know how to do it and what I see in the manual, mcsMQTT should have created the appropriate devices.

    Thanks guys

    Answered my own question and dont know how to delete the post.

    The MQTT Subscribe Topic should be 124T11/sensornode1:motion
