  • mcsQTT Debug.txt, entries every second

I was looking through the debug file and noticed something strange. I think the file will grow to be quite large in a few weeks. I can of course turn debug off.

I decided to check the devices in question, and both of them are Timers. These are not related to the mcsMQTT plugin. Is there something I can do to stop error-login of this?

There are not selective debug provisions. The HSEvent is HS calling the plugin when a device changes so this is normal and not an error. I can remove the HSEvent from the debug or you can disable debug to avoid collecting so much data.

Yes, I thought it might be that. I'll turn off debug for now at my end and activate again when needed. Thank you, have a great Sunday :-)

What this does tell you is that timers incur overhead even if not logged in debug. Each plugin that accepts the device change notification will be called and figure out if it is interested in it or not.

I removed the HSEvent debug from 3.4.10.0 which is in the Updater.
