  • mcsMQTT Plugin using excessive CPU

Earlier today, I noticed that my HomeSeer system was running very sluggish (or non-responsive). I am running on Linux Ubuntu 18.04 within a VM with 4GB Ram and 4 virtual CPU's. I ran htop and saw all 4 cpus near 100%, and multiple instances of mcsMQTT plugin that was the main user of the CPU cycles.

Any thoughts on what I should look at, or log files that can help troubleshoot?

There was an issue with the plugin not actually shutting down so it can result in multiple instances. It was addressed in https://forums.homeseer.com/forum/li...been-shut-down. where you can get the version that fixed it. The latest available not is at http://mcssprinklers.com/HSPI_MCSMQTT_4100.zip. so better to go with it so it can be directly supported if you continue to have issue.
