    NOTE: I prefer to use a serial programmer verus OTA. That is me.

    Hardware required.

    1 - USB to Serial programmer - purchased an el cheapo programmer on Amazon.

    With this device you will be using the RXD, TXD, GND and 3V3 pins. Note that mostly they are all the same.

    2 - RPi with SSH access - doesn't matter what version of OS you have on it.

    3 - device you are programming with pins or wires soldered on to the RX, TX, Ground and VCC pins

    NOTE: if you are not comfortable with soldering then this method is not for you.
    NOTE 2: DO NOT PLUG DEVICE in to an 120VAC outlet
