UltraLighting3 not starting (but shows OK in PI list) - URGENT

    UltraLighting3 not starting (but shows OK in PI list) - URGENT

    As of this morning UltraLlighting3 will not start. It shows OK in the HS3 PI list but does not appear on the PI menu and none of its devices respond.

    Restarting and reinstalling the PI did not help. Restarting HS3 and the server did not help.

    Without your PI working several of our light switches do not work and my family is going to hate me if i don't have this fixed before it gets dark here in California

      Hi guys, i had exactly the same problem and got it working again

      in my situatie the lifx phone app still worked with the lights

      what did i do:

      disable the plugin
      reboot pc (HS3)

      deinstall the plugin
      reboot pc (hs3)

      remove ALL reference of UltraLightning3 in the HS3 program directory
      reboot pc (hs3)

      install UltraLightning3
      reboot pc (hs3)

      activate plugin
      reboot pc (hs3)

      after that all lights where back in HS3 and working

        mda i removed:

        hs3\config\hspi_ultralighting3.ini
        HS3\Data\ultralighting3 directory
        hs3\HSPI_ULTRALIGHTING3.exe.config

        hs3\HSPI_ULTRALIGHTING3.exe was removed after deinstalling and rebooting

                    Overst 1) Do you see all lights with the phone app ?
                    2) Did you take the exact steps as i did ?

                    Normaly the lamps will sync with HS3 if you can see them with the app and if the are in the same ip-range as HS3 computer

                    I hope this info helps you some

                        Is this still happening? I just launched the plug-in in my development environment and I am not seeing an errors.

                          Ultrajones it is very strange, as far as i can tell several people (including myself) had this in the early morning (local time) of yesterday.
                          One of the striking things was that the config page was no longer available, and all lifx lights vanished.

                          The solution i posted seems to have solved it for most people (deinstall remove reinstall)

                          As far as i can tell Overst still has some problems
