The plugin works great for sending commands to my X10 devices but if a command is sent from another device (wall button, wireless remote of plugin keypad) I get this in my HS3 log.

So this is a command from your WGL Wireless serial device plugged in to your TW-523 (or Jeff Volp's XTB-IIR which is what I use)?

And the remote device can control your lights just fine eh?

And you never see the X10 traffic from the

1 - TW-523 plugged in to the same power strip as the CM11A?
2 - test X10 wired console plugged in to the same power strip as the CM11A?

Did you make or extend your CM11A cables or are you using original white / ivory CM11A cables with an RS-232 end on it?

I ran the update for the X10 plugin and now it says:

        3.0.0.46
        Included
Config screen still looks the same.

I started playing around with Homeseer in September with the 30-day trial then got busy with other projects. Bought the full version on black Friday. I did not remove the trial just installed HS4 pro. I think in September the trial was HS3 but I'm not sure. There's no sign of HS3 on my C drive but some of the folders in HS4 have a creation date os 9/12 while most are dated 11/27. I think maybe a clean start over would be the way to go at this point.

I have just been testing different plugins for smart switches so no big loss if I dump it and start over.

Anything I need to know with licensing if I do that?

Right now I'm leaving all wireless devices out of this until I get it clean.

I have a mini 4 button old-style 110-volt PHC01 desktop box plugged into an outlet.
Next to it I have my CM11a plugged in.
In my room I have ceiling lights.
From HS4 with the X10 plugin In can turn the lights on and off
From the 4 button box I can turn the lights on and off

          Here's where is get strange:
          in the HS log:
from the x10 plugin, I see the normal traffic
from the desktop box, I see the message I sent before

My goal is to activate an event based on a received x10 signal wired or wireless since either will put the data on the power line for the cm11a to see.

The RJ11 to RS-232 cable is the original cable, looks good no breaks in the casing or signs of wear. I have another coming from eBay just in case.

I ran the update for the X10 plugin and now it says:

You have to manually install the updated plugin.

              Read here ==> read me

download the zip file here ==> download
              1. Shut down HS
              2. In your HS4 directory, rename HSPI_X10.exe to HSPI_X10.exe.bak (so you have a backup of your current version)
              3. Unzip and copy this .exe into your HS4 directory
              4. Restart HS

                Good news on the cable.

                in the HS log:
from the x10 plugin, I see the normal traffic

Do you mean the debug chit chat in the HS logs?

from the desktop box, I see the message I sent before

                Odd.

Does the HS4 web page X10 variable change to on or off when you are using the 4 button box?

NetTech Please uninstall the "X10 Free" (v.46) plugin that you have now and install the "X10 (CM11a/Ti103)" plugin (also free), which is the current and supported version (v3.0.0.50).

Click image for larger version Name:	X10 Plugins in Updater.JPG Views:	0 Size:	52.8 KB ID:	1438486

The version you have installed does not support HS4 and was slated for removal from the 'plugin store' back in March. I will work with HST to get it permanently removed so there is no further confusion.

Please let us know what happens once you have the HS4 compatible plugin installed.
                  Best regards,

Pete and mfisher, THANK YOU Both for all your help! With the new plug-in, I'm now getting data in from the wired control and the wireless control. Now I can move forward. My wife who has a disability can still use the X10 wireless controls but I can have HS re-route it and Sonoff, TP-Link, or to an X10 device. Thanks again
