  • I presume HS does not support true X10 protocal

I have a XTB232, which operates with pure X10 commands from day one of HS3 it can take up to 40 minutes for HS to turn a light on and the log fills as below, I have only pasted a clip but the whole log is this while there is movement in the home.

I see this when I have serial issues - are you connecting the CM11 directly or via a USB/IP adaptor?

It is almost certainly a serial connection problem rather than a plug-in problem.

The Digiport I understand is still a USB adapter which can introduce possible points of failure, I would ensure all drivers are up to date and all plugs are seated correctly.

The XTB handily has the LED on it - what does this show? Is it flashing red?

Flashing red definitely is an issue then, if you disconnect it from the serial port completely does it still flash red?

If you disable the plugin, look at the LED and check what it looks like. Then enable the plugin and watch the LED, it should briefly flash whilst it connects (IIRC it is amber) and look for this.

Sorry misled you in above statement it's nor flashing between green and red it's green and amber. When disconnected from serial it's steady green and when enabling the plugin it flashes red about three times then goes to green.

When it is steady green after enabling the plugin are you able to send X10 commands OK or do you see the errors straight away?

It errors straight away, however the X10 does eventually get transmitted.

There was a thread regarding changing the COM port receive buffer and transmit buffer to address COM port delays with a TI103. I can't find that thread though... still, you might tweak those sliders to the middle point to see if latency improves.

So you get the errors in the HS log but the LED on the XTB stays green?

If you have the option and there is a serial port on your PC (that is not USB) then I would try that to see what happens and whether or not it behaves any differently.

Have moved it off the edgeport and onto the PC's serial made no difference at all
