    Z-Wave USB Stick Recommendations

I am considering getting a Z-Wave USB interface "stick" that I would use for adding nodes to my existing HomeTrollerZeeS2V2, as well as updating the firmware on some devices like an Aeon Labs Multisensor 6.

Currently when I need to add a node that is hard-wired, I am powering down my HomeTrollerZeeS2V2, then powering it by a battery and taking it to the node to add. I would like to use something more portable like a USB stick so I don't have to power down, restart, power down again, etc.

I also want to be able to update the firmware on devices like the Aeon Labs Multisensor 6. I understand I would need to plug the USB stick into a Windows machine to do the firmware updates.

Can the USB stick interfaces be used for adding nodes remotely then copying the nodes to my HometrollerZee?

Can I use one USB stick for both uses (adding nodes and updating firmware)?

Which products would be good for this purpose?

    Thanks,
    Dave
