Windows 2003 cannot install Homeseer Mdac 2.7 error

W2k3 has mdac ver 2.8 homeseer intall looks for 2.7 and tries to install it. it obviously fails the mdac install. and homeseer installer then terminates.

What to do ???

Do a custom install and unselect MDAC.

i have come across the mdac problem on w2k3 and have done a custom install not installing the mdac. Now the option to record is greyed out and i cannot set recording on motion. Is there a work around for this.

"Record on motion"? We need a bit more information on exactly what you mean by the option record on motion is greyed out.
