  • Monoprice Z-Wave Plus RGBW Dimmer Controller for LED Strips

Does anyone have one of these and does it work with HS3?

    https://www.monoprice.com/product?c_...seq=1&format=2

It looks like a Fibaro clone or possibly a rebranding?

    Thanks,
    Ken

It looks more like Qubino RGBW module than Fibaro.
      Qubino module works with HS.

Given it's about the same price as the Qubino, maybe just stick with Qubino which is known to work with HS?

I looked at the Monoprice and the Qubino. The Monoprice is less expensive

            That Qubino has this note....

            QUBINO - RGBW Dimmer ZMNHWD1
NOTE: This device operates at 868.4 mhz Z-Wave frequency. Please make sure that you have a Z-Wave controller with the same frequency. This frequency (868.4 mhz) is used in CEPT countries, Europe, the EU, China, Singapore, South Africa, UAE, Qatar, Singapore

So this is compatible with HS3?

Does anyone know if the Monoprice will not work with HS3?

              Hi Cliff ( cbabkirk ),

If you are in the US you need to order a ZMNHWD3 (link below) not a ZMNHWD1. The guts of the device are the same it's just the z-wave radios that are different between US and CEPT.

The D3 module works great with HS3.

                Hello Ken,

Will the module outputs for RGBW control individual devices (bulbs, etc) or must the driven device be an RGBW light strip?

The documentation mentions halogen bulbs so I suspect you can drive individual loads up to 3.25A per channel for a total of 13A for all 4x channels. The docs also mention that it's important that the dimmer module be powered from the same power source as the load so that would limit you to 12/24VDC halogens.

                  Hope this helps,
                  Ken
