    Zwave (plus) USB repeaters

So I have quite a network of ZWave devices and recently started playing around with Zigbee devices.

    Both mesh networks..

Zigbee has these extremely cheap USB repeaters ($10-$15) that plug into USB outlets and can be added to the network as repeaters. I have loads of outputs with USB tongles on them for phones.

I have the USB outputs on outlets around the house and I can just plop these repeaters in and they are super small and don't take up a while outlet. I can put them in anything that has a constant USB power supply. My TV has one.

These seems like something that ZWave should adopt as well. I cannot find them anywhere...

Interesting--- I am sort of looking for something in a form factor that just plugs into the outlet... Like this...

Maybe Zigbee isn't the same as Z-Wave, but every Mains powered Z-Wave device I have also functions as a repeater. I've never had the need for a dedicated Z-Wave repeater.

EDIT: For my own education, does a dedicated repeater count as a hop in the mesh?

Just buy some zigbee outlets and plug them in. They will act like a repeater. You can buy them for under $10 less on special. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08MX4HFJH...roduct_details

Yes, but they take up half an outlet where as the USB tongles take up just one of the USB ports in an outlet.
