Greetings,
Over the years HomeSeer HS2 has been on the receiving end of a difficult situation in the Z-Wave world due to our product being a controller/gateway which, to support the vast number of Z-Wave products out there, has to support almost every command class out there. Add to that the complexity of these additional situations:
To deal with these issues, our software looks at the manufacturer information in a Z-Wave device, and handles custom or specific situations based upon that identification information. Because of this, HS2 has to most depth of products that work with the software.
To continue this effort in our newest product currently in development, HS3, I need your help. Some things have changed over the years which have been driving us to change the way in which our software handles these exception or special cases, but doing so in HS2 would have been a major undertaking. In HS3, since our Z-Wave support is being vastly reworked, we have the opportunity to enhance this feature. For one thing, devices found on the Z-Wave Alliance certification list may be able to be identified by the software so that you, the consumer, will know whether you are using a device that has passed the Z-Wave Alliance's tests of interoperability. What we will also be able to do is to identify a device by its product name, so that not only does it make sense looking at it in your own system, but it will also be able to be identified more easily as working with the current version of the Z-Wave plug-in for HS3 before you make a purchase.
So that we may start HS3's new Z-Wave plug-in with a comprehensive list of devices that already work with HomeSeer's HS2, I would like to invite you to post your device product information to this thread so that I can add it to our product database.
There are some very old ACT products (some in my own home still) which do not support the manufacturer specific command class, which means that the manufacturer ID, product type and product ID cannot be determined. If you have one of these devices, I would still like to know about it if you have the manufacturer's SKU or product name handy.
For example, I have an ACT ZDW_"something" which reports this for the product information:
You can get this information from the Z-Wave Who Am I page in HS2 (/zwho).
Here is an example of what it looks like when there is good/valid information:
So here is what is needed if you have the opportunity and would like to help us to make sure your existing Z-Wave products are supported as best as is possible by HS3 - please post comments to this thread, and put the product name (e.g. "Cooper RF9537-N") as the Title to your post, and in the body of the post include the manufacturer ID or Name, product type, product ID, version, and Frequency. If you wish to post the entire row from your Z-Wave Who Am I page, that is fine too.
Please, to help prevent me from having to sift through a ton of information:
Thank you very much for any help you are able to provide!
Additional Information: PLEASE reference a specific product number whenever possible. Use http://products.z-wavealliance.org/ to help you find product information. As an example, NicolaiL has posted several, but I cannot put Everspring Motion Detector in the database - looking at the above website, there is (in the European frequencies) an SP814 and an SP103 which are both PIR sensors - I need to know which one! Thank You.

Add to that the complexity of these additional situations:
- Manufacturers who design for handheld remotes and not PC controllers.
- Battery operated devices with no way to keep them awake so that they may be interrogated for information.
- Devices which do not follow the command class rules or create devices which result in new rules having to be developed (after the product is out in the market)
- Manufacturers who release pre-certified devices, then make changes based on certification but do not change the product IDs
To deal with these issues, our software looks at the manufacturer information in a Z-Wave device, and handles custom or specific situations based upon that identification information. Because of this, HS2 has to most depth of products that work with the software.

This is for a Cooper Wiring RF9537-N, AspireRF Dimmer Master SwitchManufacturer Product Type=4449 H

Please, to help prevent me from having to sift through a ton of information:
- Do not post product information for a product already listed unless you are posting information for a different frequency of product (e.g. EU or AUS frequencies).
- Do not post multiple products in a single post unless all of the product names are listed in the title for people to see.
- Do not post the product information for any products that you do not have the manufacturer'd model/SKU information for. (I will figure out a way to collect that information after we gather the list of known products.)
- Please remember to include the frequency (it is not shown on the ZWho page) from the following list:
- EU (European)
- US (North American)
- ANZ (Australia/New Zealand)
- HK (Hong Kong)
- MY (Malaysia)
- IN (India)
- RU (Russian Federation)
