Maybe best to use a device to control each speaker as mentioned?
Would that also eliminate the need for individual speaker TTS control as you mentioned?
I think it doesn't hurt to ad the TTS enable HS device, except there's already too many HS devices for each Google device.
    I would appreciate any input

Personally I don't like the groups anyway - something strange about their behaviour.

I am beginning to not like groups in the Google Home App myself.
I think the individual TTS on/off as well as using the Device Control Might be a solution for my situation. Both might be overkill.
Going to test to find out!

"Too many devices"... is there a problem or would it create a problem to either hide or delete the device (s) not needed? That way each individual could customize to their needs?

I also like to add devices in my plugins to control the behaviour, instead of using configuration page or HS event actions. This way it's most flexible.

But "Too many devices" could become an issue for some users - especially the once having HS for many years - it becomes slow, there are posts about GetDeviceEnumerator function taking a minute...

Developers can publish in BETA immediately, but normal publish is done by HST

Local Playlist and or Music Folder (continuous) playback.

                  1) Playlists (Plex or others) consumption for local music?
                  2) Album Casting (a continuation through each song in a folder)?

Would love a direct Plex playlist solution, or an m3u8 solution where I could tell Alexa to play "such and such".

I started working on Plex and Spotify, but not now

Can you add an option to not enable by default. I would rather it just discover them and then give me the option to enable the ones I want.

Sure I can (like groups). But after porting to HS4 - it's higher priority and a lot of work...

                          Thanks.

So far your plugin has been far better than the other... but my mini's seem to pop off the network.
Your plugin will correctly recover but will flood my log in doing so.

I would like to request an option for log levels, with one being ERRORs only or OFF.

You can see here it looks like a small glitch and they all dropped and came back, but my log is overrun.
I have all my mini's with a DHCP allocated static IP so that should not change, I do have one group and that IP seems to be random.
The log entries are actually meaningless to me, I have tried to make sense of them but I have failed. So I would rather they go away.

I will change AK GoogleCast Warning to normal log messages - so it will reduce number of log messages a bit.
But you have a different issue here - your 'Common Area' group is jumping constantly between 192.168.1.80 and 192.168.1.82 - and that's an advantage of my plugin - it detects the change and re-connects.

And all log messages with type "Speaker" and "ASR" are coming from HS (when speaker re-connects), so here I don't have any control.
The only "workaround" you can do - if you don't use groups in HS - simply disable "Use groups" option in the plugin settings.

                              [EDIT]
Also it looks like device with ref. [915] is having some problems, can you please check
