Google TTS speaks very slow

I wanted to record the speech to show how slow it is. By changing the language to different English, speed came back to normal, also in Dutch.
So problem is solved for now.

not sure what you mean by "reset". the current code does not provide to google any speed parameter, so it should use the default speed.

It was using the default speed in the beginning, but suddenly it was speaking much slower until now.
Don't know how it happened and don't know how to get normal speed back.

I just tried with english and it seems normal to me.

I could add a parameter to change the speed, but from my tests it looks like I can only make it slower than the default speed, not faster.

It is Dutch, and I but also English is slower then normal. When I can reset it to normal speed I think it will be OK. It was OK in the beginning.
