  • WiFi devices disconnecting

It looks like there are some with similar issues. I have 5 chrome cast devices. 2 wired and 3 wireless. There is never problem with wired devices.

When click on connect (for disconnected devices) nothing is happening. I get error in log as shown below.

Disable/enable plugin helped once. After that it would not make any difference. Rebooting one disconnected device and then disable/enable plug-in brought everything back online for now.

What can I do to keep wi-fi device visible to Chromecast plug-in? They are all connected and working fine outside of the plug-in all the time.

Thank you for your advice. Charles

I am on windows 10 machine and HS3 Pro all latest versions. I got the plug-in yesterday.. Ughh.. Couple of minutes later two wi-fi devices disconnected again.. I can't connect them from device list.. Same error as above. Feeling frustrated. :-(

      Do you have Bonjour installed?

        Yes I do.
Actually here is what I have noticed. One Wi-Fi device would stay connected two would get disconnected. One that would stay connected is using manually assigned IP and two others are using DHCP server. I have assigned IP manually to other two devices and so far they are staying connected. It is early to tell but it might have solved the problem. Maybe it will help others too in the future.

It could be issue related to my network. Who knows. I am using GT-AC5300 router.

Seems a bit like what I'm experiencing:

I might try static IP to see if that helps.

Hi - I'm having a similar issue. Google Chromecast Audio against a Homeseer (HS3 Troller).
Chromecast Audio (Wifi only) works ok when the homeseer is rebooted, and the connection is all enabled (incl. Online)
TTS from Homeseer works ok, as well the posting (URL) of an audio wav file

After a while, it disconnects (see logs) - Online tick box is no longer connected
