How do you cast HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) ?

    Hi Spud,

In your documentation post you reference the list of audio/video formats supported (https://developers.google.com/cast/docs/media) - one of them on this list is HLS. Blue Iris supports HLS, and it would be great to be able to use your plugin to cast this, but I can't seem to get this working. I've tried a variety of different MIME types without success. Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

Anything? Please Being able to cast live stream URL's would be a huge plus for this plugin!

Here is a site with some examples
        https://bitmovin.com/mpeg-dash-hls-e...ample-streams/

        A specific stream: https://bitdash-a.akamaihd.net/conte...6155f6efa.m3u8

According to the link in the first post, it looks like Chromecast supports these.. would be wonderful if this was supported by your plugin!

I tested with this url: https://video-dev.github.io/streams/...z/x36xhzz.m3u8
          and MIME type: application/x-mpegurl

          and it worked

most of other urls from this page I tried didn't work
so it looks like Chromecast does not support all kinds of formats and/or encryption, so there is not much I can do

Interesting.. you're right - that one example you provided does work, but most others do not (including Blue Iris' .m3u8 streams). Thanks for checking into this, looks like its up to google to fix.
