    Bug report

    Hi spud

Thought I'd report a bug. It only comes up in an unusual situation, but it completely crashes the RaspberryPi HomeSeer is running on (have to physically unplug it) so you may want to have a look.

Previously I had all my chromecast devices connected to Ethernet with the Google Ethernet power dongle. The plugin was working fine. Recently I switched the chromecast devices to WiFi. They all got assigned new IP addresses after configuration in the Google Home app. The remainder of their configuration was unchanged, and HomeSeer still recognized them at their new IPs without any reconfiguration. Unfortunately, when issuing commands to the chromecast devices (eg. vol up/down) after the network connectivity change, the PI/HomeSeer/RPi crashed/locked up.

I deleted all the devices and recreated them (had to redo all my events/scripts as new device IDs were generated) and the plugin is now working well again.

    Thanks
Working...
