Chromecast Web Page Action with String Variable

Can you use a String Variable for a Chromecast Web Page action as outlined below?

When I copy the string contents into the Web Page URL field, everything works. - (i.e. http://192.168.10.70:81/mjpg/fdoor/video.mjpeg?user=iss)

    But, when I try to use a string variable (i.e. $$DSR:7382 - it doesn't, I get a "404 file not found error".

    Thanks for your help,

    Doug

Unfortunately replacement variables are not replaced automatically by their value in any action. There is only a few actions where this work, and the chromecast "cast web page" action isn't one of them.
I wrote it down as a feature request.

      Thanks for the response.

I am using your EasyTrigger Plugin to create Stings to control media for Spotify.

I simply build a phrase and output it to the Speaker Client which talks to a Google Home Device. This has worked reliably for my Spotify selections.

Since I can't use the "cast web page", I think I'll try using the same Speaker Client approach to select my Security Cameras until the feature request is implemented.

      All the best,

      Doug
