Thanks for the quick work. So I gather I just select it from the updater and it will install over everything that is there, correct?

Will it overwrite the events that are already in HS. I hope not because I have changed the time of the events to suit my own needs.

    Thanks again

    Cheers,
    Bob

It should not overwrite the events as long as you didn't change the name of the events.

The fix for your error is not in this version. I did find the error and get it fixed late last night but didn't have time to test it. My plan is to test it tuesday evening and then send version .11 to the updater on Wednesday which will have the fix for your error.

I will wait for .11 then.

What was the error out of curiosity?

The error came from a couple of things.
One was that I am still learning xml and didn't know how to check for the existence of data that was more than two layers deep. I figured that out last night.
The second was the xml file you sent had video information for some of the programs. But for the first time it had aspect info but not color info. The aspect and color data is three layers deep. That is the first time the xml files had one but not the other. So my check for the video info assumed both would be there proving once again what happens when you assume.

            Jeff,

Don't knock yourself. Your script is wonderful and your support is awesome. I know how you feel as I am a computer programmer for a living so I know what you mean about assuming.

No biggie, just don't let it happen again

            Just kidding!

If we got it right the first time we would not be human.

Thanks again. I look forward to your fix on Wednesday or Thursday.

            Cheers,
            Bob

I have tested my changes to the import process for two nights now. It worked and I even edited the xml files to make sure it had some of the entries that were causing the error.
I'll bundle it up and try to get it in the updater Friday.

              Happy Thanksgiving to all HSers

If you want to you can download hstv.exe now. Just replace the existing one with the one in this zip file.
It fixes the problem with the video format info.

                    Much appreciated

You are the man. Great script by the way! I do a lot of my own processing once your script imports the tv listings into the database.

I will let you know how it goes

                    Thanks again

                        Jeff,

I downloaded and installed the latest version, but mine looks like 2.1.0.39 on the admin page. Is that correct? Also, I was working great for a while but now am getting "Object variable or with block not set" during import. Any Ideas?

                            Tom,
What the admin page is showing is the version for the exe (hstv.exe).

The fix for the Object Variable in relation to the Video Aspect has been sent to Rick this morning for the updater. It should show up later today.
