ERROR 500 - any idea?

Hi, for the last week it has been impossible to use iTunes from events, need to use the GUI.

I´m getting this error:

jun-15 11.00.00 iTunesDAAP ERROR Den eksterne serveren returnerte feilen (500) Intern serverfeil.

All airplay.

Windows 10, updates to latest versions. 3.0.0.33 from Spud.

Did you try to restart itunes and the plugin?
If it is still doesn't work I need more information because the 500 error is very generic. Set the log level to Debug, and post what you get when the plugin starts

Every hour Itunes plays the news, stopped beeing possible recently. Not after a upgrade of Itunes or Windows.




If I use the GUI in web-browser it works fine.

EDIT: It is the DAAP Playlist which gives error. Using GUI works fine.

This error 500 has returned, last time i did a re-install of Windows and Itunes, but it seems to be a waste.




Hoping Mr. Spud can help.

Is this HS3 or HS4 ?
What version of iTunes are you running? Is it running on windows? Is it running on the same machine as HS?
Can you post a screenshot of the event that doesn't work?
What kind of iTunes actions do you use in this event?
Does other iTunes action types work?

Thanks for getting back to me. HS3 Pro Edition 3.0.0.548 (Windows) Plugins version 3.0.0.33.




Since you stopped supporting mac-os this is running on an updated Windows 10 Pro. It is not the same machine as Homeseer is on.




Used to work just fine, one day it just stopped working. Nothing changed in events or any update done.




Others functions works fine, such as pause. Also from gui it works fine.

It would be great if you fixed the mac-support now. It’s more than 1 year since Apple renamed Itunes to Music and you plugins stopped working.

I can't reproduce the problem, and the logs are not helping much.

If you select the playlist from the devices page, does it work?

Instead of using a "Control A Device" action in your event, try to use the "iTunes DAAP Action" and then select "Play Playlist" as the action type. Does it work better?

BUT when trying from device page some playlists/radiostations work.




Could there be an corruption in Itunes?







Will try to install it on the server to see if that helpes. Do you think that would be better?




I’m using it for radio 99,9% of the time, 1 track in each playlist with URL to the stream. It works fine from GUI and the whole 1000+ albums I have there as well.




If you feel that running it on the HS3-server i will try.




And use this as an excuse to buy a new Airplay-speaker for the office where the pc and old speaker is located. 🤡
