    HSPI as stopped working

    Hi Spud,

The PC I am running XBMC on get sent into sleep mode when I have finished using it but it seem to crash the HSPI, would just closing XBMC before sending to PC to sleep prevent this, Is there a command to shut XBMC down on a remote PC? or is there another solution

    Here is some background

I am running XBMC Gotham which is on a different PC to my HS3 install, but same network, the install I am using is running in portable mode

    Thanks

First, I haven't tested the plugin with Gotham yet as it is still in Beta. The only supported version so far is Frodo.
Depending on what changed in the XBMC API, there may be things in the plugin that may not work correctly with Gotham

I have never seen this crash, I will try to recreate it.

With version 3.0.0.16 you can now use the "Application Quit" action to shut XBMC down.

      Hi Spud,

Don't think it link being put in sleep mode (win 7) with xbmc still running, if I exited xbmc first then it seemed ok, my problems came when I came out of sleep mode because the plugin seem to think I was still connected, I tried refreshing the device page to no avail, but strangely enough the remote side of the plugin i.e. left, right etc seem to work, but not the play and stop etc. and the thumbnail didn't load when I started the play via a remote.
Is there any way to jog the plugin back to lift when the PC comes out of sleep mode if I close xbmc down prior to putting the PC to sleep, I understand it connects automatically, but it there some way we could speed thing up

Thanks for looking into this and I will take a look at 3.0.0.16

          please give me more info:
what version of XBMC and the plugin are you running?
what are you doing when the plugin crash?
could you set the log level to debug, replicate the crash and post the logs?
is this somehow related to what S.Morris said, i.e xbmc PC coming out of sleep mode?

            Hi Spud,

            I use

            plugin version: 3.0.0.19
            Homeseer version: 3.0.0.96
            XBMC: 12.2

It happens when my XBMC computer shuts down by using the windows own shutdown menu.

If I shut down, hybernate, reboot or suspend my computer from the XBMC environment all is wel.

In the log the following appears and the the plugin crashes:

            Code:
mei-30 12:03:55 XBMC INFO Lost Service: XBMC (MediacenterPC) - _xbmc-jsonrpc-h._tcp.
mei-30 12:03:55 XBMC INFO Lost Service: XBMC (MediacenterPC) - _xbmc-jsonrpc._tcp.
I use a script to shut down my computer, it triggers the shutdown from windows and not from XBMC. Therefore this is a problem. When I use my XBMC again I have to re-start the plugin.
