    Issue after update to 3.0.0.30

    #2
there is probably a conflicting dll installed by another plugin in your HS3 root dir
make sure you don't have System.Threading.Tasks.dll (or any other dll installed in bin/XBMC) installed in the HS3 root directory as well.

also before installing delete everything from bin/XBMC then reinstall, then make sure everything is correctly installed, in the logs you should see something like this:

Apr-22 7:45:00 AM Updater Install/Update of package XBMC was successful.

      This is what I did
      Stopped the plugin
      Removed it from plugin interface.
Removed every remaining file manually as you mentioned.
No XBMC dll in HS3 main directory.
Reinstalled the plugin (here is the log)

the method that is not found is supposed to be in Microsoft.Threading.Tasks.Extensions.dll

are you sure you don't have a version of Microsoft.Threading.Tasks.dll or Microsoft.Threading.Tasks.Extensions.dll in your HS3 root folder?

could you provide a screenshot of all the dlls and exe you have in your root folder?

        thanks

you should have a HSPI_XBMC.exe.config file in there as well, do you have it?
actually could you provide the full list of files in your HS3 directory?

also what .NET version is installed on your machine?

and you didn't have this problem with the previous version of the plugin, right?

Installing .NET 4.5 or later should fix the problem, could you try?

I can reproduce the problem on a machine where only .NET 4.0 has been installed. I will try to come up with a fix to avoid requiring .NET 4.5 but that could take some time.

Thank you for testing and reporting.

Thanks for your update …. so I will have to upgrade windows 7 as on XP I am stuck with .net 4.0

Thx for your time debugging this issue

oh, in this case, here is version 3.0.0.29 which should work with .NET 4.0 and has the same features than 3.0.0.30 (except it's not compatible with Linux)
