    lost connection

I am using the plugin now for a while.
I use it to play streaming radio stations
Kodi is installed on the same pc as Homeseer.
But as long as I am using the plugin I am losing the connection to Kodi.
In events I first disconnect, connect before I send a command. Most of the time this will work.
Am I the only one with this problem?
Is there something I can do?
    Peter

Might be best to turn debug on and post any errors seen. I'm having issues with connectivity reliability to a LAN connected kodi instance (see the other thread), but I'm yet to get any response from Spud on this.

I'm finally on trial with this and my kodi instance has to be manually re-connected also? I too expected it to be automatic?

In version 3.0.0.39 available here I have fixed some connection/disconnection issues.

This should fix most of the problems you are seeing, please test and let me know. Thanks

If some problems remain, please provide some debug logs and some step by step instructions on how to replicate them.

Yes, that seems OK now. Thanks.

              I am still having problems.
I want to stop playing music, but when I do that with an event, it won't stop.
When I do it by hand by clicking on stop at the status device for my XBMC player, music is stopped.
I am running now windows XBMC version 16.1 on the same pc Homeseer is running.

What does your event look like? Could you post a creenshot?

I have updated Kodi to version 17 beta.
I can now stop the player from homeseer.
Only the status of the player is not updated.
When I disconnect and reconnect, the status will be updated.
                  So the second event works.
The first event stops the player but I don't get an update of the status.

if the stop button on the status device works, why don't you use that with a Control Device action in your event rather than the specific "Input Execute Action"

It gives me the same problem.
The music stops, but the status is not updated.
                      Only after disconnect, connect.

This also happens when I click on the device stop.
Also when I use an event to play a radio station, the station starts playing, but status only updates after disconnect, connect.

could you provide the debug logs from the moment you enable the plugin until you click stop and the status is not updated (please do not do any disconnect/connect)

I only see this in the log:
2016-12-19 23:23:18 XBMC DEBUG Notification (Kodi (doberman2)): Sky Radio
when I run the event to play sky radio.
Radio starts playing, but status is stopped.
If I then click on stop in status, music stops and status is still stopped.
Also last changed date did not change.

ok I understand, but I need to see how the plugin is initialized, so please provide the debug logs from the moment you enable the plugin until you click stop and the status is not updated

I have same problem and need to disconnect and reconnect to get play state reliably. Will try to provide logs this week too.
