Serviio, HS Touch and DLNA Manager

    Hi,

just to share a little problem, in case anyone already solved it...

    I have DLNA Manager 1.0.0.42.

If I use Serviio as DMS, the music browser in HSTouch only display first levels (categories : Artists, Albums, etc) but the levels below are empty -> no artists, no songs displayed.
The web pages are ok (songs can be selected and played).

If I use XBMC as DMS, everything is almost correct : HSTouch displays songs. The only bug (if bug), is songs are sorted alphabeticaly, not by album order.

As anyone met this ? any solution for Serviio or alphabetical order via XBMC ?

    thanks for your feedback,

Could you post a screen shot of the Serviio DMS config page? Can you turn the DLNA PI debug flag on (don't forget to save), clear the log, go to you HSTouch screen and try to navigate from albums on down. Cut/paste the log here.

    Thanks

    Dirk
postedit: you may have to start the HSTouch client to capture all the right info in the log

The creation of the musicDB seems to fail for some reason. Could you turn on debug and superdebug flag and click on the createDB button. Capture and post log (might be large and perhaps needs to be a zip file). How many tracks would you say are in Serviio's database? Is this a very large DB or small?

Flight got cancelled last night so not home until tomorrow to (re)try it myself.

What OS are you running this on (XP, Win7....)?

Did you take the trace w/ Superdebug on?

yes the trace was with superdebug + debug flags on.

here is the file (zip attached).

the DB is empty (compared to the one for XBMC)

content is strange. dunno what is supposed to send serviio, but looks like strings are not parsed correctly...

here are two examples of the content of XBMC db :

OK, back home. I tried the same on my PC using v 1.3.1 and I have the same problem that I cannot create a MusicDB using Serviio.

I use a specific UPNP command called Search to make the DB. As far as I can tell, Serviio's implementation doesn't work. I left a posting on their Forum and see what comes out of it.

ok. let me know when this would be solved : serviio is much faster than raspberry XBMC to display songs list + song order is wrong with XBMC.

if it can be solved of course.

                      many thanks for your support.

I'll check on the song order w/ XBMC tonight. When displaying on HST, the response should actually be the same because it is pulled from the musicDB on the HS PC .... provided of course we could make it work w/ Serviio. I assume your response times are related to browsing through content using the web based player that comes w/ the DLNA PI.

you are right : response time (and order pb) is on the PI web page only.

I did not pay attention it was OK through HST !!! what a huge ***...
                          cant believe it...

If the PI web page can be fixed through XBMC, as far as I am concerned, I will be more than happy (and I will let you focus on HS3 version )

                          anyway, thank for your support.
