using playbar IR to control tv via PI

Is it possible to trigger an event through your PI to use the IR on the sonos playbar to control the TV. Not sure if this is possible but thought I would put it out there to see if anyone else found a way to to this.

Nope, the Sonos PI isn't informed what the playbar IR receives.
What TV do you have and what "controls" are you trying to add?
